| As Solid grade laminate is only 12/13mm thick, it is harder to maintain a reliable hinge fixing just by tapping into the material depth alone. |

| Attractive lozenge face plates ensure a robust fixing by removing any direct stress on the SGL. This promotes the longevity of the cubicle system. |

| The use of hinges that fix into the thickness of the material from the edge inward are also not advised in conjunction with 12/13mm solid grade laminate. |
Fixing from this direction reduces the thickness of the material around the hinge screws. |
| With very little material left either side, these areas are a potential weak point where the door face is liable to break out under stress and the hinge to fail (a replacement door would then be required) |
